1. Who We Are

Kasi Dash is developed and published by fibertime™ (Pty) Ltd, a company incorporated in the Republic of South Africa. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect information when you play Kasi Dash on iOS (Apple App Store) or Android (Google Play Store). If you have questions, contact us at privacy@fibertime.co.za or write to us at Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa.

2. Scope and Applicable Law

This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with the following data protection frameworks: the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) applicable in South Africa; the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) applicable in the European Union and EEA; the United Kingdom GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018; and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) as amended by the FTC Rule effective April 2026, applicable in the United States. Where these frameworks overlap we apply the stricter standard. This policy applies to all users of the game regardless of their country of residence.

3. Data We Collect

Kasi Dash is a simple arcade game. We collect only the minimum data required to operate it. We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any contact or payment information at any point. The following is the complete list of data we collect, the reason for collection, and the legal basis under POPIA and GDPR:

4. Data We Do Not Collect

To be entirely clear, we do not collect or process any of the following: real name or surname; email address or phone number; physical address or IP-based location data; GPS or device location; camera, microphone, or sensor data; biometric data of any kind; advertising identifiers such as IDFA or GAID; payment or financial information; social media profile data; or any data originating from third-party analytics, advertising, or social SDK integrations. We have no such third-party SDKs integrated into the game.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data solely for the following purposes: to run the game and display the in-game nickname and leaderboard; to track scores for the current play session; to diagnose and fix technical issues affecting specific device types or operating system versions; to improve game design and balance using aggregated and anonymised play statistics; and to review voluntarily submitted feedback messages and star ratings. We do not use any data for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making, or any commercial purpose beyond those listed here.

6. Children’s Privacy

Kasi Dash is designed to be family-friendly and suitable for all ages. We take children’s privacy seriously and comply with COPPA (United States), GDPR Article 8 (European Union and United Kingdom), and POPIA (South Africa). In practical terms this means: we do not collect real names, email addresses, or any contact information from any player including children; the only player-created data element is a nickname that the player invents themselves and which is never linked to any real-world identity; we do not display, share, or sell player data to any third party; we do not use persistent device identifiers for tracking or advertising; and we do not engage in behavioural profiling of any player. Because we collect no information that would identify a child, and because our data collection is limited to gameplay statistics and a self-chosen nickname, we believe our data practices are appropriate and proportionate for an all-ages audience.

7. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your data to any third party for any purpose. All data collected is processed and stored internally by fibertime™ (Pty) Ltd. We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, social media integrations, or cloud services that receive player data. The only exception would be if we are legally compelled to disclose information by a valid court order, subpoena, or statutory obligation under South African law. In such a case we would disclose only the minimum information required by the relevant legal instrument.

8. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on servers controlled by fibertime™ (Pty) Ltd, located within South Africa or in jurisdictions that offer equivalent data protection standards. Access to stored data is restricted to authorised fibertime™ staff only. We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest. Session statistics (coins, shakas, date and time of play, device type) are retained for a maximum of 24 months from the date of collection, after which they are deleted or irreversibly anonymised. Feedback messages and star ratings are retained for a maximum of 12 months from the date of submission. Nicknames are retained until a deletion request is received or until the data is no longer relevant.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the following rights. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@fibertime.co.za with the subject line “Data Rights Request” and include the nickname you used in the game so we can locate the relevant data.

10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The game does not use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, advertising identifiers, or any cross-device or cross-app tracking technologies. Data is stored locally on the device or on fibertime™ internal servers only. We do not use any tracking technology that follows you outside of the game.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify players via an in-app notice on the next launch following the update. The updated policy will also be available at the URL listed in the App Store and Play Store listings. Continued use of the game after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
